Ik ben inmiddels ook fan van Masking tape. Het heeft me even geduurd voordat ik om was. Maar door Pinterest kom je zoveel leuke toepassingen tegen van dit rijstpapieren tape in allerlei leuke kleurtjes. Zoals deze Paastakken van Luzia Pimpinella. Ik koop mijn masking tape bij de webwinkel Een nieuw avontuur.

It's all Carl, Carl, Carl

Dit is Carl, de zeer back to basics print van Sammy Rose. Maar Carl komt in 'all different shapes and characters'. Zo heb je Carl the sailor, Carl the show must go on, Carl the Teen wolf, Carlos, Good Morning Carl en Have faith in Carl. Doet me denken aan zo'n lekkere foute show van de Belg Jambers.... Het leukste effect krijg je natuurlijk als je thuis een mini Carl gallery maakt met een paar soorten naast elkaar.

He always had characters in the show that had an every day job but an exorbitant hobby at night.... The best way to introduce Carl to your home is to combine a few of your favorite characters into a mini art gallery.

We kennen natuurlijk allemaal Broers&Broers, de webwinkel met allemaal mooie oude Zweedse meubels en accessoires. Nu is er nog een broer bij gekomen. Onder het merk Storebror (Zweeds voor 'stoere grote broer') laten de twee zussen Mariska en Marije Broers in de eerste collectie een mix zien van oud en nieuw Scandinavisch design. Leuke opbergers voor van alles en nog wat

Wil je een fijne, multi inzetbare opberger die ook nog een feest is om naar te kijken... zoek dan niet verder! En was je niet op zoek, voor deze PVC gelamineerde canvas opbergers in verschillende grafische prints vind je altijd wel een bestemming. Ik zie bijvoorbeeld de meest linkse in de bovenste foto als helemaal zitten op de babykamer. Die lijkt de laatste tijd een vaste plek te hebben ingenomen in mijn wensenlijstje... Dit is weer een heerlijke ontdekking. Allereerst het blog vol geweldige foto's van Deense fotografe Line Klein. En dan ook nog deze mooie kunstwerken van het nieuwe merk Oh so fine. Als zwangere vrouw spreekt het bovenste me natuurlijk zeer aan. Deze zou ik graag op de kinderkamer hangen als een warme herinnering aan onze eerste maanden saampjes.
I love finding amazing new things on the internet. Such as the source of these beautiful images. The photographer is the Danish Line Klein and she has a blog filled with great food, lifestyle and interior photos. And the shop where you can buy these amazing products is the new Oh so fine. As a mom to be I would love to have this print in the nursery as a warm reminder of our first months together. 

A new love for Meyer-Lavigne

Ken je Meyer Lavigne al? Mogelijk ben je een van hun beschilderde borden al eens ergens tegen gekomen maar dit duo doet nog zoveel meer. Naast de Meyer Lavigne shop met allemaal alledaagse gebruiksvoorwerpen die ware kunstwerken zijn werken deze design dames ook als succesvol stylistes voor diverse Deense woonbladen. En dit met een stijl die mij persoonlijk zeer aanspreekt. Het gedateerde alledaags maken.
Have you 'met' Meyer Lavigne? It could be that you've seen one of their beautiful painted plates online. But this creative duo does so much more. Aside from their work of artsy everyday products that you can buy online in their Meyer Lavigne shop they also are succesful stylists for Danish interior magazines. I personally really like their style where they take objects from the past and make them fit in an interior today.

Ik ben helemaal head over heals gevallen voor deze kandelaars gespot bij de Zweedse site Mangarum. Wat zijn ze cute voor zo'n toch wel robuust onderwerp als een Fabriek. Zeker zo bij elkaar met dikke en dunne kaarsen gecombineerd.

I've fallen head over heals for these candlestands found on the Swedish site Mangarum. I think they're so cute considering it is such a bold subject: Factories. Also love the combination of the thicker and more narrow candles next to each other.

Soul birds by Sanna Annukka

De soulbirds van Sanna Annukka zijn prachtig om te zien, maar er zit ook nog een mooi verhaal achter. Hoe men vroeger een houten vogel naast het bed bewaarde om de ziel van de slapende persoon te bewaken. De vogels zijn in een gelimiteerde oplage geproduceerd en de voorraad van 2010 is erg hard gegaan. Ben je voor de vogel gevallen dan zou ik ook zeggen, sla snel toe want voor je het weet is ie weer gevlogen... Naast de collectie vogels zijn er ook mooie kandelaars.

The soulbirds by Sanna Annukka are not only beauties to the eye but they also come with a great story. It is an ancient belief that the soulbirds should be kept by the bedside to keep your soul safe during sleep. Design keramiek uit Denemarken

Al een hele lange tijd ben ik fan van de mooie producten van Kähler design. De keramieken USB sticks die zo mooi zijn dat je ze als ketting kunt dragen, de vrolijke Fiducia vaasjes waarbij je er ook enkele als kandelaar kunt gebruiken en de hier niet afgebeelde kerstboompjes. Die zijn werkelijk een lust voor het oog. En wat een genot! Het prachtige Deense merk Kähler design is nu ook in Nederland verkrijgbaar. Mikkili shop heeft ze sinds kort in de collectie. Evenals nog veel andere mooie Kähler design producten. 

For quite some time I've loved the products by Kähler Design. The ceramic USB sticks are so pretty you can wear them as a necklace. And the Fiducia vases can be used just as vases as well as 3 vases and 2 candlesticks. They are little works of art so beautiful. And what a joy for us Dutchies. Many Kähler design products are now available in the Netherlands, at Mikkili shop. And in about 2 weeks the shop will also be available in English!

We hebben nog een paar van deze kettingen van Tine K Home maar ze vinden hun plaats niet helemaal op onze woonaccessoires webwinkel. 2011: circus!

Een thema staat vast voor 2011 en dat is circus! Je ziet meer en meer leuke prints en vrolijke artikelen die inhaken op dit thema. Zo ook in de nieuwe collecties van onze leveranciers. Komend voorjaar krijgen we het nieuwe behang van Ferm LIVING en ISAK met de wiebert en driehoeksvormen. Ook heeft de kinder collectie van Ferm LIVING vrolijke muurstickers van vlaggetjes en het Tiny Train kussen met slingers, olifanten en gezellige streepjes. De finishing touch voor een circus kamer komt van Rie Elise Larsen in de vorm van deze prachtige paper art hangers. We moeten nog even geduld hebben maar al dit moois komt eraan!

I love one of the themes for 2011: CIRCUS. Our suppliers showed great new products that relate to this theme such as the new wallpaper, wallstickers and cushions by Ferm LIVING, the wallpaper by ISAK and as a finishing touch the gorgeous paper art hangers by Rie Elise Larsen. It requires some patience for it to hit the shelves but all these goodies are coming!
