Ga mee 'op bezoek' met Dos Family

Als ik een fijne fix sfeervol en leefbaar wonen wil zien dan is mijn vaste bezoekadresje toch wel Dos Family. Met de visits die zij in Denemarken en Zweden doen hebben ze een prachtige verzameling op hun blog staan. En iedere keer hoop ik dat ze weer bij iemand anders over de drempel zijn gegaan. Zoals bij dit vrolijke huis met her en der leuke knutsel projecten van de kinderen. Zo maak je een huis toch 100% persoonlijk.

With their visits in Denmark and Sweden they have collected a range of beautiful and quirky homes on their blog. And every time I hope they've entered a new home when I get to their blog. Like this cheerful home with all these little DIY projects of the children. Doesn't that just make the house very personal. I love it!

Een moderne kerst in Kopenhagen

Wat een heerlijk licht, vrolijk en creatief familie huis. Ik zou hier zo in kunnen trekken. Ware het niet dat de kinderkamer nog even omgetoverd zou moeten worden naar een baby variant. Maar de keuken, de tafel met stoelen, de bank, de kunst, het licht en zelfs de kerst decoraties zijn allemaal zeer naar mijn smaak. En het ziet er ook uit als een geweldige playground om als kind in op te groeien.
What a great light, cheerful and creative family home. I could just move in today! Ok, the kids room would have to be flipped into a nursery but that's all. I love the kitchen, the dining table and chairs, the artwork, the light and the Christmas decorations. And this also looks like a fun place for a child to grow up in.

Een gezellige familie keuken

Eerlijk is eerlijk, ook dit komt op me over als een heerlijke keuken. Wel iets rommeliger door alles wat op de planken staat. Voor zo'n optie zou ik eerder kiezen als het een aparte ruimte is. Maar het oogt wel heerlijk leefbaar en dat is uiteindelijk het belangrijkste in een huis (voor mij dan). Met zo'n mooie tafel en stoelen midden in de ruimte. Oh ja, en haar outfit (shawl daar gelaten) ziet er ook super comfortabel uit.
Truth be told, I also really like this kitchen. It's a bit more filled with knick knacks than the one shown yesterday with all the goods displayed on the shelves. I would go for a kitchen like this if it was a seperate room, not open plan living. But it has a homely feel to it and in the end that is what I would be looking for in a home. How cosy with the table and chairs in the middle of the kitchen for family dinners. Oh yeah, I also really like her comfortable looking outfit (except for the scarve).

Oogsten en cider maken, met z'n allen

Een uitnodigend betonnen familie huis!

Is het somber wonen in een betonnen huis? Helemaal niet! Dat bewijst dit huis gespot op het blog van IKEA. Beton afgewisseld met wit en vrolijke kleuraccenten geeft dit huis al een bijzondere basis. Ook binnen deuren zijn volledig overgeslagen. Het is een open leefruimte. Gecombineerd met geleefd, kleurrijk en praktische accessoires en legio persoonlijke spullen is dit een lekker uitnodigend familie huis om in te leven.

Is living in a concrete shell sober and boring? No way! This home spotted on the IKEA blog proves it can be bright, colourful and inviting. The combination of concrete with white walls and bold colour accents give this home a unique base. And there are no doors inside to keep an open view through the house. And the cheerful accents in furniture and decorations make this a great family home to live in. 

Boek SPACES van Australische FRANKIE

M'n verjaardagscadeau uit Australië van m'n zus is binnen. Het geweldige boek SPACES van Frankie. Een absolute aanrader voor de interieur lovers onder ons. Net als Detaljer Hemma is SPACES ook een boek vol prachtige foto's. En heel toevallig kwam ik een item tegen wat ik via Etsy ken en waar ik tot op de dag van vandaag nog van baal dat ik het niet meteen gekocht heb. Meteen even contact gezocht met de eigenaresse die ook nog eens een volger van twitter is. En nu ook m'n blog gaat lezen. Dus Danielle, als je dit leest, zorg er goed voor en ik ga proberen een DIY versie te maken. Maandag zal ik een post maken van het items waar ik het over heb.

My birthday gift from my sister in Australia has arrived. The amazing interior book SPACES by Frankie. A must have for interior lovers. Just as Detaljer Hemma SPACES also has beautiful images of homes, shops and details. I came across an item I regret not buying on Etsy about a year ago. Immediately emailed the new owner that was featured in the book. Turns out she is a follower on Twitter and now will also read our blog. So Danielle, if you've stopped by, take good care of your treasure and I'll try to make a DIY version of it.

Foto's in je huis

Het is altijd leuk om je te omringen met foto's van de mensen waar je om geeft. Dit hoeft niet altijd in een lijstje te zijn zoals Trine Thorsen hier laat zien. Met name de getekende figuurtjes met foto hoofdjes vind ik erg leuk. En de Zoe de Las Cases figuren als het meisje met het blauwe kroontje is ook een absolute favoriet.

It is nice to keep pictures of people you love close to you. This doesn't mean you always have to frame them. Photographer Trine Thorsen shows us many different ways to display a good photo. I specially like the drawn bodies and photo faces. The Zoe the Las Cases figures as this girl with a blue crown is also one of my favourites.

She took the plunge

Mijn zus en grote vriendin heeft dit weekend haar ja-woord gegeven. En wij blikken terug op een fantastische dag die (cliché) véél te snel voorbij is gevlogen. Komende week plaatsen we op ons blog ook nog een paar leuke creatieve creaties die we voor deze dag gemaakt hebben. Leuke 'groots effect voor niet veel geld' tips voor als je deze zomer nog een bruiloft hebt.

My sister and dear friend got married this weekend. And we are enjoying looking at the pictures over and over and over again. This coming week we'll show some nice creations we've made for this wedding that make a wedding personal and don't cost too much. Just some suggestions if you have a wedding this summer.
